Smiljan Rozman (born January 28, 1927 – died March 15, 2007) was a famous writer from Slovenia. He wrote many books, including novels and collections of short stories. He also created stories for young readers and wrote scripts for children's TV shows and plays.

About Smiljan Rozman
Smiljan Rozman was born in Celje in 1927. When he was very young, his family moved to Maribor, where he grew up. During World War II, he had to work in Germany and France.
After the war, Smiljan had many different jobs! He worked in a factory, played music, painted, acted, and even taught. Eventually, he became a full-time writer. He passed away in Ljubljana in 2007.
Awards and Recognition
Smiljan Rozman won some important awards for his writing. In 1965, he received the Prešeren Foundation Award for his novel Druščina (which means 'The Company'). This is a very respected award in Slovenia.
In 1968, he won the Levstik Award for his book Reporter Tejč poroča (Tejč the Reporter Reports). The Levstik Award is given to Slovenian authors for their best books for children and young people.
