Snarf in the 1985 Series
In the original 1985 ThunderCats show, Snarf is an older character. His real name is Osbert, but he doesn't like it. Snarf was like a caring guardian for Lion-O when Lion-O was a young boy.
Even after Lion-O grew up, Snarf stayed loyal to him and the other ThunderCats. He often helps them with clever ideas when they are in trouble. Snarf is not a fighter, but he is very quick and agile. He can also talk to other animals on Third Earth to ask for their help. Once, he even gained special powers and became "Snarf-Ra"!
Snarf's friends include Jaga, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Wilykit, and Wilykat. His main enemies are Mumm-Ra and the evil Mutants.
Snarf in the 2011 Series
In the 2011 cartoon, Snarf is shown as a devoted, cat-like pet to Lion-O. He mostly walks on four legs. Unlike the older version, this Snarf does not speak full sentences. He mostly makes his famous "SNARF-SNARF" noises. Lion-O seems to understand what Snarf is trying to say.
Snarf in ThunderCats Roar
In the 2020 cartoon ThunderCats Roar, Snarf is imagined as a robot pet. He is still cat-like and belongs to Lion-O. This version of Snarf also walks on four legs. He has many tools built into him, but he does not speak at all.
Snarf in Other Shows
Snarf has also appeared in other TV shows. He was featured in the South Park episodes about "Imaginationland".
