Soda Dam, also known as Alexander Dam, is a large concrete dam located in Caribou County, Idaho. You can find it just west of the town of Soda Springs.

This dam was first built in 1925. It was later rebuilt in 1991, making it 94 feet tall and 492 feet long across the top. The Soda Dam holds back the Bear River to create electricity from water power. It's one of many power plants owned by an electricity company called PacifiCorp.

The water held back by the Soda Dam forms a lake called Alexander Reservoir. This reservoir covers an area of about 1.9 square miles. It can hold a lot of water, up to 15,760 acre-feet. Normally, it holds around 15,200 acre-feet of water.

Alexander Reservoir is a great place for outdoor activities. People enjoy going there for fishing. You can also go canoeing on the water. It's also a good spot for birdwatching, as many different birds visit the area.
