Soe Tjen Marching started her music career by teaching herself a lot. In 1998, she won a big competition for Indonesian composers. This competition was held by the German Embassy. Her music has been played in different countries like New Zealand, Indonesia, and Japan.

Her music was even featured on a CD called Asia Piano Avantgarde - Indonesia. A famous pianist named Steffen Schleiermacher played her work on it. In 2010, her music was chosen as one of the top two compositions in an international competition in Singapore. This shows how special her music is!
