Getting Around SoHo
Since 2009, some small companies have started using special vehicles to help people get around. These are called NEVs. They are like small, electric cars. They can shuttle people between SoHo and other nearby areas, like Channelside. This makes it easy to explore different parts of Tampa without needing a car.
Bern Laxer Park
In 2009, a special park opened in the southern part of SoHo. It is named after Bern Laxer, who started the famous Bern's Steakhouse. This park is a peaceful spot in the busy neighborhood.
Features of the Park
At the very center of Bern Laxer Park, you will see a beautiful sculpture called "Three Graces." The park also has a lighted fountain. This fountain is special because it is the first in Tampa to use reclaimed water. Reclaimed water is water that has been cleaned and treated so it can be used again, which is good for the environment!
