Somer Sivrioğlu has worked in many important roles in the food and hospitality world. He helped start different restaurant chains and special eateries. He also managed many restaurants across the country.

Opening Restaurants

In 2007, Somer Sivrioğlu opened his very own restaurant called Efendy. It was located in Balmain, a part of Sydney, Australia. This restaurant was a popular spot for many years, but it closed in 2021. Later, in 2016, he opened another restaurant in Sydney called Anason. This new restaurant is in Barangaroo, another area of Sydney.

Media Work

Beyond his restaurants, Somer Sivrioğlu has also shared his cooking knowledge with many people through media. He used to write weekly articles for Yeni Vatan, a newspaper for the Turkish community. He also hosted a TV show called Somer'in Mutfağı, which means "Somer's Kitchen." Plus, he had a radio show on SBS Radio called Lezzete Yolculuk, which translates to "Journey to Taste."
