Somers is a small town located in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, in the United States. It's a place with an interesting history of how its borders have changed over time.

What is Somers, Wisconsin?

The town of Somers is a local government area in Wisconsin. Before 2015, the town included the area that is now the village of Somers, plus its current land. In 2015, a new "village of Somers" was officially created. At first, part of the old town stayed separate, but later, it also became part of the village.

Today, the town of Somers is mostly land near or inside the city of Kenosha. It's planned to become part of Kenosha by the year 2035.

How Many People Live in Somers?

In 2020, about 992 people lived in the town of Somers. This is much less than the 9,597 people who lived there in 2010. The big change happened because the village of Somers was formed, taking a large part of the population with it.
