Writing as SJ Bennett, she created a popular series of mystery books. In these books, Queen Elizabeth II acts as a secret detective! She gets help from a fictional assistant named Captain Rozie Oshodi. These books became very popular. Sophia Bennett signed deals for many books in the UK, the US, Italy, France, and Germany. One of her books has sold 250,000 copies in the UK alone.
Sophia Bennett has also written several books for young adults. Her children's novels are published globally. She won the Times/Chicken House competition in 2009 for her first novel, Threads.
