Sophie Hannah (born in 1971) is a famous British writer. She writes many kinds of books, including exciting mystery novels and beautiful poems. She is also known for continuing the stories of Hercule Poirot, a famous detective created by Agatha Christie.

About Sophie Hannah

Sophie Hannah was born in Manchester, England. Her mother, Adèle Geras, is also a writer. Sophie went to Beaver Road Primary School and then studied at the University of Manchester. She also spent time at important universities like Trinity College, Cambridge and Wolfson College, Oxford, where she focused on creative arts and research. Today, Sophie lives in Cambridge with her husband and two children. She is also an Honorary Fellow at Lucy Cavendish College there.

She helped create a special master's degree course at the University of Cambridge. This course teaches people how to write crime and thriller stories. Sophie is the main teacher and director for this program.
