About Sophia Vari
Sophia Vari was born in 1940 with the name Sophia Canellopoulos. She later married another famous sculptor named Fernando Botero.
Her Artistic Journey
In 1992, Sophia Vari opened her own art studio in Paris, France. There, she taught other artists, helping them develop their skills. She became well-known for her unique art styles. She used both polychromic (meaning many colors) and monochromic (meaning one color or shades of one color) approaches in her work.
Sophia Vari passed away in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on May 5, 2023.
