Sophie Nélisse (born March 27, 2000) is a Canadian actress. Her performance in Monsieur Lazhar won a Genie Award. She played Liesel Meminger in the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel The Book Thief.
Nélisse won a Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in an International Feature Film. She was later at the Cannes Film Festival to present the movie Mean Dreams.
Nélisse was born in Windsor, Ontario.
