Sorunda is a small town, also called a locality, in Sweden. It's located in the Nynäshamn Municipality, which is part of Stockholm County. In 2020, about 1,319 people lived there. Sorunda is special because it's the hometown of some well-known Swedish people. These include Ulla Akselson, Moa Martinson, and Harry Martinson.

Sorunda is home to a very old and large church. This church was built a long time ago, during the Middle Ages. Its history goes all the way back to the 12th century. Over the years, big additions were made, especially in the 15th and 16th centuries.

The church has special rooms called burial chapels. These chapels were built for important local families, known as aristocratic families. Many details inside the church are from the Middle Ages. One very special piece is a beautiful wooden sculpture. It was made by an artist named Hermen Rode.
