Ashley J. Llorens, known as SoulStice, is an American rapper. He was born in 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. SoulStice started making music seriously while he was studying at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2003, he created his own music company, Wandering Soul Records. This was at the same time he released his first album, North by Northwest.

SoulStice's Music Journey
Since his first album in 2003, SoulStice has become a well-known artist in alternative hip hop. This is a style of hip hop music that often explores different sounds and ideas.
In early 2006, SoulStice and his company, Wandering Soul Records, made a big deal with EMI/Caroline. This deal helped them share the album "Dark Water" by his group, Wade Waters, across the country.
Reaching a Wider Audience
In 2007, SoulStice released his second solo album, "Dead Letter Perfect." This album was shared through Universal Music. "Dead Letter Perfect" became very popular on the radio. This led to SoulStice touring in Europe and Japan. He was also featured in many important hip hop magazines like XXL Magazine and The Source.
In 2009, SoulStice worked with a Belgian music producer named SBe. They released a project called "Beyond Borders." This album featured artists from all over the world.
Music in Movies and TV
SoulStice's music has also been used in popular movies and TV shows. His song, "That Thang," was featured in the Oscar-nominated movie, "The Blind Side." This movie starred Sandra Bullock. Another one of his songs, "Always," was featured on the CBS hit TV show NCIS Los Angeles.
