South Fork is a small town, called a borough, in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the larger Johnstown, Pennsylvania area. In 2010, about 928 people lived there. This was fewer than the 1,138 people who lived there in 2000.
Where is South Fork?
South Fork is located in the southern part of Cambria County. It sits in a valley near the Little Conemaugh River. This is where the river's South Fork joins it.
A major road, U.S. Route 219, runs just east of the town. This four-lane highway can take you about 10 miles north to Ebensburg. Ebensburg is the main town of Cambria County. Johnstown is about 10 miles southwest. Altoona is about 30 miles to the northeast.
The United States Census Bureau says that South Fork covers a total area of about 0.50 square miles (1.30 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.47 square miles (1.22 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.03 square miles (0.07 square kilometers), is water.

- Washington Irving Stineman (1869–1947) was a member of the Pennsylvania Senate. He was an important leader in the state government.
