South Fork is a small place in Wisconsin, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called the Town of South Fork, which is located in Rusk County.
South Fork is found along County Highway M. It's just north of a small village called Hawkins.
History of South Fork
South Fork has an interesting past with a name change! This community was first called Czestochowa. This name came from a city in Poland called Częstochowa.
However, in 1917, the name was officially changed. That's when it became known as South Fork, the name it still has today.
