Nature and Wildlife
The South Region is home to several important rivers. These include the Nyong, the Ntem, and the Dja. These rivers are important for the local environment and the people who live there.
The region also has special places set aside to protect animals and plants. One of the most famous is the Dja Faunal Reserve. This reserve is so important that UNESCO has named it a World Heritage Site. This means it's a place of special cultural or natural importance to the world.
