South Wolf Island is the biggest island in a small group called the Wolf Islands. These islands are found off the east coast of Labrador, which is part of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. No one lives on these islands.
The Wolf Islands stretch out for about 4.5 kilometers (or 2.8 miles) from north to south. South Wolf Island is right in the middle of this group.
Exploring South Wolf Island
South Wolf Island has a high, flat area that reaches up to 94.8 meters (about 311 feet) above the sea. At the very top of this high area, there's a large, cone-shaped rock.
Safe Harbors
The southern part of South Wolf Island has a special spot called a cove. A cove is like a small bay, and this one is a great place for small boats to find shelter. It offers a safe spot to stop, especially if the weather gets rough.
