Split-Dalmatia County is a region in Croatia. It is one of the 20 counties that make up the country. A county is like a large administrative area. The main city and capital of this county is Split. This city is also called the county seat.
The county covers an area of about 4,540 square kilometers (1,753 square miles). In 2011, about 454,798 people lived here.
How the County is Organized
