Spring Grove is a town in Green County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 861 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Oakley and Tyrone are located in the town. The ghost town of Clarence was also located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 39.8 square miles (103.1 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 861 people, 290 households, and 243 families residing in the town. The population density was 21.6 people per square mile (8.3/km²). There were 308 housing units at an average density of 7.7 per square mile (3.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.63% White, 1.28% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.12% from other races, and 1.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.58% of the population.
There were 290 households out of which 41.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.2% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.9% were non-families. 11.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.97 and the average family size was 3.21.
In the town, the population was spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 30.7% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 104.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.3 males.
