About the Race Track
The race track at Spring Mountain is very long. It can be set up in many different ways. The longest way to set up the track is 6.1 miles. This makes it the longest road course in North America!
For driving schools, the track is usually set up to be between 1.5 and 2.4 miles long. Members of the club and people who rent the track can use other custom setups.
Driving Schools for All Skill Levels
Spring Mountain is famous for its driving schools. These schools teach people how to drive high-performance cars safely.
Ron Fellows Performance Driving School
One of the main schools here is the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. This school is the official high-performance driving school for Corvette cars. They offer programs that last two or three days. You can also get private lessons.
Drivers of all skill levels can join. You can learn to drive different Corvette models, like the C7 Stingray or the Z06. If you buy a new Corvette, General Motors might even help pay for your course!
Cadillac V-Performance Academy
Another cool school is the Cadillac V-Performance Academy. This is the official high-performance driving school for Cadillac cars. It's a two-day program. If you own a new 2017 Cadillac V-Series model, you might get a special price for this course.
Spring Mountain Racing
The track also has a special shop called Spring Mountain Racing. This shop helps members keep their Radical and Wolf race cars in great shape. They do maintenance and repairs. This way, the cars are ready for club races.
History of Spring Mountain
A Canadian racer named Rupert Bragg-Smith first built the track in 1998. Later, in 2004, he sold it to John Morris.
