Spring Prairie is a town located in Walworth County, Wisconsin, USA. In 2020, about 2,123 people lived here.

Several small communities are part of the town. These include the areas known as Spring Prairie and Voree. Parts of Honey Creek and Honey Lake are also found within the town's borders.

History of Spring Prairie

Spring Prairie was not always called by its current name. It was first known as Franklin. The name was later changed because of the natural springs in the area. These springs flowed into a stream called Spring Brook, which is a branch of Sugar Creek. An early settler suggested the new name, and it stuck!

Spring Prairie covers a total area of about 35.8 square miles (92.8 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 35.7 square miles (92.6 square kilometers), is land. A small part, about 0.1 square miles (0.2 square kilometers), is water. This means only a tiny fraction (0.22%) of the town's total area is covered by water.
