Springdale's Past
Springdale was started in 1882 by a rancher named Cyrus B. Mendenhall. He chose the area because of a hot spring nearby. A hot spring is a place where warm water comes up from the ground.
Springdale had a post office for a long time. It opened in 1885 and closed in 2004.
