Springersville's Past
Springersville was first planned and settled in the year 1840. In the same year, a post office was opened there. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office helped the community for many years. It stayed open until it was closed down in 1853.
A very old place in Springersville is the Springersville Cemetery. It was started even earlier, in 1837. It began as a group called a Cemetery Association. This group still takes care of the cemetery today.
