St. Peter's Catholic Church is a special old building in Wibaux, Montana. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means it's an important historical site in the United States. The church was added to this list on March 14, 1990.

History of St. Peter's Church

The church was built a long time ago. An old stained glass window inside has a message. It says that Pierre Wibaux helped pay for the church. It was dedicated, or officially opened, to St. Peter in 1895.

Changes Over Time

For many years, the church was used for teaching religious lessons. This teaching is sometimes called catechesis. Later, the building stopped being used for these lessons.

The main parts of the church, called the nave and sanctuary, were then fixed up. They were made to look like they did when the church was first built. If you want to see inside the church, you can contact the Wibaux Historical Society.
