Building a Church: St Lawrence's History

This beautiful church was built in 1878. It was designed by a famous architect named Sir George Gilbert Scott. He made sure the church had a main open space called a nave, a special area for the altar called a chancel, and a side section known as a north aisle.

The church also has a porch where people enter. At the western end, there's a small tower called a turret. This turret holds eight bells that were made in 1935.

The Church Organ
