A Look Back in Time: The Church's History
This amazing church was built a very long time ago, starting in the 13th century. Imagine, that's over 700 years ago! For many years, it was the main church for the powerful Everingham Barons during the 1200s and 1300s. You can still see some of their old stone monuments inside the church today.
The church has been carefully looked after over the centuries. It had a big restoration project in 1859 and 1860. This work was done by two architects, Thomas Chambers Hine and Robert Evans, who helped keep the church in good condition for future generations.
