St Paul's Church, Tiverton, is a historic church located in Tiverton, Devon, England. It is a Church of England parish church. The building is officially recognized as a Grade II listed building. This means it is an important historical and architectural site.

Building History

This church was built between 1854 and 1856. The architects who designed it were George Phillips Manners and John Elkington Gill. They were both from Bath. The land for the church was kindly given by a person named John Heathcoat. The money needed to build the church came from Ambrose Brewin and a charity called Mary Beard's charity.

Later, between 1910 and 1911, the chancel area of the church was improved. This work was done by a company called Nevinson and Newton.

The Church Organ

The organ inside St Paul's Church was also paid for by John Heathcoat. The beautiful wooden case around the organ was made by H P Dicker of Exeter in 1857. When it was first installed, the organ was placed at the west end of the church. You can find detailed information about this organ on the National Pipe Organ Register.
