The village church is called St Peter and St Thomas Becket. It was built a very long time ago, in the 11th century. This church is a Grade I listed building, which means it is very important and protected.
Every year, Stambourne holds a fun bonfire and fireworks show. This event takes place in the village playing field. Many people from nearby areas, like Great Yeldham and Halstead, come to enjoy the display.
