Standing Stone Township is a small community in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was first settled in 1774 and officially became a township in 1841. In 2010, about 642 people lived here.
Where is Standing Stone Township?
Standing Stone Township is located in the eastern part of Bradford County. It shares borders with Herrick Township to the north and east. Wyalusing Township is to its southeast.
The Susquehanna River creates a winding border to the south and west, separating it from Asylum Township. Wysox Township is on the northwest side.
A main road, U.S. Route 6, goes through the township. This road connects it to Towanda, which is the county seat. It also leads southeast to Wyalusing.
The township covers a total area of about 42 square kilometers (16.2 square miles). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water, like rivers or streams.
