Starlanding was found in the northern part of Brazeau Township. This area is in the eastern part of Perry County, Missouri. It was right along the famous Mississippi River. The land there was about 364 feet (111 meters) above sea level.
What Was Starlanding?
The community was originally known as Star Landing. It was founded as a riverboat landing. A riverboat landing was a special place along a river where boats could stop. They would load and unload goods or passengers. In the past, rivers were like highways. Riverboat landings were important for trade and travel.
Why Did Starlanding Disappear?
