Stefano Mei (born 3 February 1963) is a famous Italian long-distance runner. He was born in La Spezia, Italy. Stefano was especially good at the 5000-meter and 10,000-meter races.

One of his biggest wins was becoming the European champion in the 10,000 meters in 1986. After his running career, Stefano Mei became the president of the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) on January 31, 2021.
