Stephanie Williams is a talented Australian rules footballer. She plays for the Richmond team in the AFL Women's league. Stephanie was chosen by the Geelong team in the 2020 AFL Women's draft. She was the twenty-seventh player picked overall. Stephanie is an Indigenous Australian. Her family comes from the Larrakia and Iwaidja groups.
Stephanie's Early Football Journey
Stephanie Williams started playing football when she was young. She played for the Darwin Football Club in their under 18s team. She was named the best player in their championship win. Later, she played for the Geelong Falcons and Central Allies. These are professional leagues for young players.
Playing in the AFLW
Stephanie made her first appearance for Geelong in February 2021. This was during the 2021 AFL Women's season. In her first game, she had 5 disposals and made 2 tackles. In May 2022, Stephanie moved to the Richmond team. She was traded there in exchange for another player, Ingrid Houtsma.
