Stepney Cemetery is an old burial ground located in Monroe, Connecticut, in a village called Stepney. It was started way back in 1794, next to a place known as Stepney Green. Many of the first people who settled in the area are buried here. The oldest gravestone belongs to Nathaniel W. Knapp, who passed away in 1787. You might also hear this cemetery called Birdsey's Plain Cemetery or Beardsley Plain Cemetery. Close by, there is a church named Our Lady of The Rosary Chapel.
