About Steve Edwards
His Early Music Journey
Steve Edwards started making music in the 1990s. He worked with a British musician named Charles Webster. One of their well-known songs was "Future Love." Steve also began to appear on songs by a group called the Problem Kids.
Big Hits and Collaborations
Steve's first big success was with the French music group Cassius. Their song, "The Sound of Violence", became a number one hit. It topped the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 2002.
In 2005, Steve worked with Swedish producer Axwell. Their Latin-style house song, "Watch The Sunrise," was also very popular. It reached number 3 on the UK Dance Singles Chart.
A year later, in 2006, Steve helped write and sing "World, Hold On" for Bob Sinclar. This song was played a lot on the radio. He also performed at a big music festival in Italy called Festivalbar that summer.
Releasing His Own Music
In September 2006, Steve released his own song called "Thru The Night." This was special because it was the first time he was the main artist. Before this, he was usually a "featured artist" on other people's songs.
He wrote and produced "Thru The Night" with Martin Smith. Martin is also from Sheffield and has worked with Steve for a long time. They have also remixed songs for Bob Sinclar and others.
Current Projects
Steve Edwards is now the lead singer for a band called Lords of Flatbush. This band is based in Sheffield. Other members include Andy Nicholson (who used to be in Arctic Monkeys), Louis Carnall from Milburn, Phil Jones, and Nic Burke.
