Steve Green, born on May 28, 1960, is an American politician. He is a member of the Republican Party of Minnesota. Currently, he serves in the Minnesota Senate, representing District 2. Before this, he was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. In the House, he represented District 2B, which covers parts of northwestern Minnesota. This area includes places like Becker County and Mahnomen County.

Steve Green's Early Life and Work
Steve Green finished high school in Fosston in 1978. He then went to the Detroit Lakes Area Vocational Technical Institute. For many years, from 1981 to 2004, Green ran a business called Lakeland Greenhouse. His parents started this business in 1973. Today, he works in construction and carpentry.
Green was involved with the Republican Party for a long time before he decided to run for public office.
Serving in the Minnesota House
Steve Green first tried to get elected to the Minnesota House in 2008 and 2010, but he didn't win those elections. He was successfully elected in 2012.

He also ran in 2010 and 2008 for House District 2A, but he did not win those elections.
