Stevie Nicholson (born 30 December 1983) is an Australian television personality and performer. He is well-known for being a member of the Australian children's music group Hi-5. He was part of the group from 2007 to 2015.

Stevie Nicholson's Early Life

Stevie Nicholson was born in Hobart, Australia. He grew up in Melbourne and went to St Kevin's College. Before joining Hi-5, Stevie worked for a company called Brainstorm Productions. There, he performed in a show called Verbal Combat.

When Stevie was a child, he had a serious illness called bacterial meningitis. Children's TV shows like Playschool helped him feel better. This experience made him love children's entertainment even more. He later studied at Deakin University, earning an Arts degree.

Stevie Nicholson's Career with Hi-5

Stevie Nicholson became a part of the children's music group Hi-5 in June 2007. He joined after an original member, Tim Harding, had an accident. Stevie was already training as a backup performer. He quickly stepped in to help with the group's tours.

In November 2007, Tim Harding decided to leave Hi-5 permanently. Stevie then became a full-time member. Helena Harris, who created Hi-5, said it was like Stevie was "born to this job."

Stevie filmed seven TV seasons with Hi-5. These included Hi-5 and Hi-5 House. In August 2015, he announced he would leave the group at the end of the year. He wanted to do more performing and write a children's book. Stevie said his time with Hi-5 was an "absolute whirlwind journey." He felt he learned a lot from the children he met. His last show with the group was in December 2015. Lachie Dearing took his place in Hi-5. Stevie returned as a special guest performer in December 2018 and November 2019.

Stevie Nicholson's Superdudes Project

After leaving Hi-5, Stevie released his children's book, Superdudes, in October 2015. He then turned the book into a stage show. The show featured characters from his book. This Superdudes tour was very popular in the Philippines in 2016. The show also toured in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia in 2019.
