Stewart Moskowitz (born July 6, 1941 – died May 23, 2017) was a talented American artist, illustrator, and author of children's books. He was well-known for his unique paintings in the style of pop art. These artworks became very popular in the 1970s and early 1980s across America. Many people bought his posters and prints.

Stewart Moskowitz's Creative Journey
Stewart Moskowitz started his career with great success. His first widely sold print was called "American Rabbit." This artwork helped him become famous. Other popular works included "Penguins...the Corporation," "The White Brothers," and "Chocolate Mousse." His special characters and art style became especially popular in Japan during the early 1980s.
How His Art Became Popular
In 1982, Moskowitz wrote and published several children's books. His characters were so loved that some of them appeared in the movie The Adventures of the American Rabbit in 1986. His art continued to be very popular in Japan. Many Japanese companies, like AT&T Japan, Fuji, Mitsubishi, and Panasonic, used his art for their logos and advertisements. He also created art for children's books and animated movies in Japan.
One of Moskowitz's paintings showed the planet Earth as a fish. This image was used as the logo for Fuji TV's show Naruhodo! The World. His characters "Parasa & Dinky Dinos" also became a big hit in Japan. This included a coloring game for the Konami Picno. Parasa, a yellow parasaurolophus, even became the mascot for Sakura Bank in 1992. You could see Parasa on bank cards and other bank items.
Stewart Moskowitz protected his artworks by registering many paintings with the United States copyright office.
