Stokes is a small community located in Pitt County, North Carolina, in the United States. History of Stokes
Stokes has a bit of history, like many places in North Carolina. One important historical site in the area is the Thomas Sheppard Farm. This farm was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places in the year 2000. Being on this list means it's a special place worth preserving because of its historical importance.
