Stone is a small place in Indiana, a state in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Ward Township in Randolph County.
A Look Back at Stone
Stone started out around the year 1870. Back then, it was known as Stone Station. This was a really important time because the railroad was being built and extended to this very spot. When the railroad came through, it often led to new communities forming around the train stations, helping people and goods move around more easily.
