Stouffer's is a well-known brand that makes frozen meals. These meals are sold mainly in the United States. The company that makes Stouffer's today is Nestlé Meals, which is part of Nestlé USA. Stouffer's products were also sold in Canada until 2023.

The Stouffer's brand started a long time ago. It began as part of the Stouffer's Restaurants chain in 1946. Later, in 1973, Nestlé bought the Stouffer Corporation. By 1998, Stouffer's became a full part of Nestlé USA.

What Kinds of Foods Does Stouffer's Make?

Stouffer's is famous for many popular frozen dishes. These are meals that you can heat up quickly at home.

Some of their most popular foods include:

Nestlé Meals also makes another line of products called Lean Cuisine. These are similar frozen meals but have less fat. Lean Cuisine actually started as a special line under the Stouffer's brand. It was first called Stouffer's Lean Cuisine.

How Stouffer's Developed New Products

In the early 1960s, Stouffer's worked with a famous chef named Louis Szathmary. He helped them create new and exciting frozen food products. One of the classic dishes he helped develop was their spinach souffle.

In 2024, Stouffer's introduced something new. They launched a line called Stouffer's Supreme. These are dried mac and cheese products that you can store on a shelf. This was a big change because they were the first non-frozen items sold under the Stouffer's name.
