Stuart Hill's path to becoming a writer was quite interesting. He left school when he was 16 years old without any special certificates. For six years, he worked in a car factory. After that, he decided to go back to college to study and become a teacher.
He taught English in Greece for several years, helping students learn the language. From 1994 to 2004, he worked as a bookseller in Leicester.
