Studio Disney facts for kids
Studio Disney (which was first called Studio D) was a fun TV show. It aired on the Disney Channel in different parts of the world. Kids in Asia, Australia, and India could watch it.
Meet the Hosts
The show had different hosts in each region. These hosts helped make the show exciting and fun for viewers.
Asian Hosts
The first hosts for the Asian version were Michael Lee, Nikki Muller, and Azura Zainal. They also had a puppet Space Cat named Miru. Miru was voiced and controlled by Brian Zimmerman.
In the second season, Miru left the show. Later, a new host named William joined Michael, Nikki, and Azura. Nikki also left the show after a while.
The Asian version of Studio D was filmed in Singapore. For its first season, it was at Ascent Media. Then it moved to Media Corp Studios for season two. That's when it changed its name to Studio Disney and got a new set.
Indian Hosts
The Indian version of the show was called Big Bada Boom. Its hosts were Shiv Panditt, Zain Khan, Tara Sutaria, and Murtuza Kutianawala.
They hosted a show-within-the-show. They also interviewed famous Bollywood celebrities. The Indian version of Studio Disney was filmed in Mumbai, India.
Australian Hosts
The first hosts for the Australian show were Dan Mills and Emily Perry. After one year, Emily left the show. Amber Virtue then joined Dan as a host.
Dan and Amber hosted the show for several years. Then they both decided to leave at the same time. Scott Cain and Asha Kuerten took over as the new hosts. During this change, the show's name also changed from Studio D to Studio Disney.
Scott left the show after a few months. Nathaniel Buzolic, known as Nat, then became a host. He stayed for the rest of the series.
The Australian hosts also did special short videos. These were called 'shorties'. In 'Dare Dan', viewers dared Dan to do different things. In 'Piper Micoy', Amber tried out various jobs. She even worked at Disneyland and an observatory! These short videos aired between the main shows.
