Su-Elise Michelle Nash (born 22 May 1981) is an English singer. She became well-known as a member of the popular girl group Mis-Teeq.
Su-Elise Nash's Story
Early Life and Mis-Teeq
Su-Elise Nash was born in Dulwich, a part of London. Her family background includes both Jamaican and English heritage. From a young age, Su-Elise loved to perform. She took part in many talent shows.
Before she joined the group, she was studying business at university. Su-Elise became a member of Mis-Teeq alongside Sabrina Washington and Alesha Dixon. The group became very famous for their R&B and hip hop music.
After Mis-Teeq
After Mis-Teeq stopped performing together, Su-Elise decided to continue her education. She earned special qualifications to become a teacher.
She then opened her very own performing arts school. It is called the "Su-Elise Stage School". This school is located in Gravesend, Kent. Here, she helps young people learn how to perform.
Music and TV Appearances
In 2009, Su-Elise shared some exciting news. She was working on her first solo album. It was going to be called Long Way Round. She said the album would feature R&B music, similar to what Mis-Teeq used to make.
Su-Elise has also appeared on television. In 2008, she was a judge on a show called Britain's Next Urban Superstar!. She also sang on a song with Lethal Bizzle in 2009. The song was called "Going Out Tonight".
She has been a guest on several other TV shows too. These include I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. She also appeared on Live from Studio Five and Freshly Squeezed.
