Sudden Brook is a small river, also called a watercourse, located in Greater Manchester, England. It's like a smaller stream that flows into a bigger river. For Sudden Brook, that bigger river is the River Roch.

Where Does Sudden Brook Start and End?

Sudden Brook begins its journey north of a town called Royton in Oldham. From there, it flows mostly northwards.

As it travels, it passes through different areas. These include Kirkholt and Sandbrook Park. Finally, Sudden Brook joins the River Roch in a place known as Sudden.

What Are Its Feeder Streams?

Like many rivers, Sudden Brook has smaller streams that flow into it, adding to its water. These are called tributaries.

Some of the streams that might join Sudden Brook include:

  • Sand Brook
  • Turf Hill Brook
  • Buersil Brook

There's also a part of the brook that flows from Well'ith Lane. It goes across the bottom, or south, of an area known as "The P streets." These streets include Phillip Street to Pullman Street. In this specific area, the brook is sometimes called Jackie Brook.
