Exploring Sue Lake
Sue Lake is not very big, but it's an important part of the park's natural beauty. It sits high up in the mountains. The lake is about 0.43 miles long and 0.35 miles wide.
Where is Sue Lake Located?
You can find Sue Lake just northwest of a mountain called Mount Kipp. This area is known for its stunning views and wild nature. The lake is at an elevation of about 7,145 feet above sea level. That's pretty high up!
Water Flow and Falls
Water flows out of Sue Lake to form the Mokowanis River. Right after leaving the lake, the Mokowanis River takes a dramatic plunge. It drops about 560 feet over a waterfall known as Raven Quiver Falls. Imagine water falling from a building nearly 50 stories tall! This creates a spectacular sight for anyone visiting the area.
