Truist Park facts for kids
Truist Park is a cool baseball stadium located in Cobb County, Georgia. Even though it's in Cobb County, it has an Atlanta mailing address. This stadium is the exciting home of the Atlanta Braves, a famous team in Major League Baseball (MLB).
When the stadium was first being planned, it was called SunTrust Park. This name came from an agreement with SunTrust, a banking company based in Atlanta. But things changed in February 2019 when SunTrust joined with another bank called BB&T. The new, bigger company decided to call itself Truist.
Even with the merger, the stadium kept the SunTrust name for the rest of the 2019 baseball season. Then, on January 14, 2020, the name officially changed to Truist Park. So, it's the same great stadium, just with a new name!
