Sunday Brunch is a fun British TV show. It airs live on Channel 4 every Sunday morning. The show is hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. They cook delicious food and chat with famous guests.

About the Show

The show started on March 25, 2012. Channel 4 announced it in February 2012. It took over from a BBC show called Something for the Weekend. That show ended because of budget cuts. Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer were also presenters on the old show.

The show usually runs live for three hours. This time includes commercials. When it first started, it was only two hours long. But from May 19, 2013, it became three hours. It now airs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

What Happens on the Show?

Each episode of Sunday Brunch has lots of different parts:

  • Simon Rimmer cooks with Tim Lovejoy and the guests.
  • They show exciting clips from new movies and TV shows.
  • They interview celebrity guests.
  • An expert, usually Rebecca Seal, helps them taste different drinks.
  • They have a segment about new trends.
  • There's also the 'Sunday Brunch Playlist'. This is a collection of music videos picked by the presenters and guests.

Sometimes the show takes a break. For example, it was not broadcast on March 22, 2020. Instead, Channel 4 showed other programmes like Food Unwrapped.

Daily Brunch

Daily Brunch with Ocado was a special spin-off show. It was also hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. This version aired live on Channel 4 every weekday morning. Each episode was 60 minutes long.

Daily Brunch was very similar to Sunday Brunch. It also featured cooking and interviews with celebrity guests. The show was announced on September 29, 2014. It began on October 13, 2014, and ran for 40 episodes.
