Simon Peter Rimmer, born on May 5, 1963, is a famous English chef. He is well-known for working with Tim Lovejoy on popular TV shows.

Simon Rimmer grew up in Wallasey, England. He first studied fashion and textile design. Later, he taught himself how to cook.

Starting Restaurants

In 1990, Simon bought a vegetarian restaurant called Greens in West Didsbury. This restaurant closed in 2024. He also opened another restaurant, Earle, in Hale in 2006. He sold Earle to another owner in 2016. In 2013, Simon helped judge British Sausage Week, choosing the best sausages.

Television Shows

Simon Rimmer started his TV career on Granada Breeze. He then appeared on many shows like This Morning, The One Show, The Gadget Show, and Pointless Celebrities.

He presented Making a Meal of It for BBC Two. He also hosted Win It, Cook It, Tricks of the Restaurant Trade, Eat the Week with Iceland, and Secrets of Our Favourite Snacks for Channel 4. He presented Breaking Into Tesco for Channel 5.

Simon is most famous for working with Tim Lovejoy. They presented Something for the Weekend on BBC Two from 2006 to 2012. After that, they started Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, which has a similar fun format.
