Surakshya Panta (Nepali: सुरक्षा पन्त) is a talented Nepalese actress, creative director, and producer. She first appeared in movies in 2015 with a film called Ajhai Pani. Surakshya became very well-known for her acting in Dhanapati. She has also starred in other popular Nepali films like Gopi and Aama. She even acted in an international movie, The Eight Mountains, which was made in Italy.

About Surakshya Panta
Surakshya Panta was born in Butwal, a city in Nepal. In March 2023, she married Manav Subedi, who is a film director and music producer from Nepal.
From Engineer to Actress
Before becoming an actress, Surakshya Panta worked as a civil engineer. She studied civil engineering and also has a master's degree in managing water resources. She started her career in media as a video jockey (VJ) for national TV channels like Kantipur and Sagarmatha.
Her first movie was Ajhai Pani in 2015. Surakshya Panta made history as the first Nepali film actor to walk the red carpet at the famous Cannes Film Festival in 2022. This was for her international movie, The Eight Mountains. This film even won a special award at the Cannes Film Festival!
Surakshya also performed in a play called Klesha in Nepal. This play was chosen for an international theater festival in India. She has won several awards for her acting, including a national award for her film Aama. She was also named 'Actor of the Year' in 2020 and won 'Best Supporting Actor' in 2019.

Starting Out and Becoming Famous (2015–Present)
Surakshya Panta's first acting role was in the 2015 film Ajhai Pani. She played a supporting character named Shaili.
In 2017, she starred in Dhanapati. She played the main character's wife in this movie. Dhanapati was a huge hit in Nepal, earning a lot of money very quickly. People and critics loved her performance in the film.
In 2018, Surakshya appeared in Bhaire. She played the love interest of the character played by Dayahang Rai. Later that year, she was in Romeo & Muna, where she played a nurse. She also took on the lead role of Manisha in the film Changa Chet. Her acting in Changa Chet received very good reviews.
In 2019, Surakshya Panta acted alongside Bipin Karki in Gopi. She played Gopi's romantic partner. This film won the "Best Film" award in 2019. She also appeared in Aama, which earned her a national award.
More recently, she was in the film Ke Ghar Ke Dera in 2022. In 2023, she played Sandhya Regmi in Bahaab and also acted in Bulaki.
