Susannah Jane Corbett, born on August 10, 1968, is an English actress and author. She started her acting career in 1991, appearing in TV shows, movies, and radio programs. She also writes fun books for children.

Early Life and Education
Susannah Corbett was born in Marylebone, a part of London, England. Her father was the famous actor Harry H. Corbett, who was well-known for the TV show Steptoe and Son. Her mother was Maureen Blott. Susannah went to Moira House School in Eastbourne, East Sussex. After school, she studied acting at the East 15 Acting School in Loughton, Essex.
Susannah Corbett's Career
Acting Roles in TV and Film
Susannah Corbett began her acting journey in 1991. Her very first movie role was a small part in the adventure film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Later that year, she made her first TV appearance in an episode of the show Minder.
In 1993, she got a bigger role in the TV series Peak Practice. She played a character with cystic fibrosis. Susannah is perhaps most famous for playing Ellie Pascoe in the BBC television drama series Dalziel and Pascoe. This show was based on detective novels. She was a regular on the show from 1996 to 2000 and returned for a special appearance in 2005.
After Dalziel and Pascoe, she went back to Peak Practice to play a different character, Kerri Davidson, who was a physiotherapist. She played this role for three series. In October 2015, Susannah also appeared in an episode of the medical drama Holby City.
Becoming an Author
Susannah started writing books for children when her own kids were young. Her first published book was Dragon's Dinner, which came out on August 20, 2009. She then published another children's book called One Cool Cat in 2011. Susannah has also written a book about her father's life, titled Harry H. Corbett: The Front Legs of the Cow. This book was published in March 2012.
Personal Life
Susannah Corbett lives in a lovely cottage in Ashburnham, East Sussex, with her family. She has two children.
